ATM

There will be an ATM in the festival area. You can load your festival paycard in cash or with a credit card. 

AWARENESS

We want Butik Festival to be a lovely experience for everyone, so we encourage for attentive, respectful and conscious interactions.

 

We urge you to respect individual boundaries and act according to the principle of consent (only YES means YES). Any practice or threat of psyhological or physical violence is strictly prohibited. Sexism, racism, ableism, homo- and transphobia and all other forms of discrimination will not be tolerated.

 

Butik Festival is supposed to be a place, where everybody is welcome and accepted. We believe these simple principles are key for respectful and tolerant behavior of all attendees.

 

In the event of any form of violence and/or discrimination please immediately turn to the INFO POINT, and we will do our best to resolve your issue. Any breach of aforementioned rules and/or discriminatory behaviour will result in exclusion from the festival.

 

We follow a zero-tolerance policy in regards to drugs. The possession, dealing and/or public consumption of illegal drugs is prohibited on the entire festival site. Violation of this rule will result in exclusion from the festival.

BON21 (for our Slovenian guests/citizens)

You can’t purchase tickets with BON21 this year.

CAMPERVANS

The parking fee for campers is 50€ (full festival).

If you want parking with electricity, the price is 75€ (see ELECTRICITY for more details). There are only 90 spots for campers with electricity.

**Estate cars (wagon carsdo not count as campervans, so please don’t buy the campervan parking if you would like to enter with your car (you will not be able to go in). If you’re not sure about your vehicle, feel free to write us at info@butikfestival.com prior to purchasing it.

CAMPING

Camping is open from Wednesday 13.07.2022 from 3 PM until Monday, 18.07.2022, 11 AM.  

 

Camping from Thursday till Monday is included in every festival ticket. If you want to arrive already on Wednesday (see early arrival) you will be charged 12€ extra.

 

  • You’re allowed to bring food and drinks to the campsite but not to the festival area.
  • Petrol power generators are not allowed in the camping area.
  • There are cold showers in the camping, for hot showers, see the sanitary center.
  • Most of the camping area is located around the trees which are well appreciated during hot summer days. However, keep in mind that it can also get a bit chilly during the night.
  • Cars are not allowed in the camping area, you can park them in big parking where the festival entrance is – see Parking.

DAYTIME ACTIVITIES

Everyday of the festival you can join some daytime activities for free. The activities will be held at the chill/yoga zone. Check the schedule below. Bring your own yoga mat. 🙂

Early arrival is possible from Wednesday, 13. 07. 2022 at 03 PM. If you arrive on Wednesday, the camp will already be open and ready for first visitors, however, you will need to pay an extra.

ENTRANCE / WRISTBANDS

When you arrive at the festival you need to exchange your ticket for a full festival wristband at the box office.

 

The box office is not open 24/7, so please check opening hours.

ELECTRICITY IN THE CAMPSITE

We only offer electricity plugs for campervans. There is a limited amount of hookups available. 

 

Electricity technical info:

  • 230V, 6A each
  • Every outlet has its own RCD
  • The technician is available from 8.00 until 22:00
  • Users need to have their own cable, we suggest 50m (better even more!)

 

Please note that petrol/diesel power generators are NOT ALLOWED in the camp. The noise is disturbing other campers and also inhabitants of Tolmin who live nearby the campsite. Being respectful to the local community is very important in order to keep this festival location.

 

Electricity for campervans will be available for pre-order (SOLD OUT).

GARBAGE DEPOSIT

Please take a minute and read how garbage deposit work and why it is important.

 

1) Garbage deposit is only applicable to those who are staying in the festival camp. 

If you are staying in another accommodation, please provide proof of reservation for the apartment/hotel and you won’t have to leave a garbage deposit.

 

2) If you stay at the campsite, you will receive 2 trash bags. 

If you are one of these people who are very good at packing and you brought your own trash bags with you – you are amazing! However, most of us forget about those when we are too excited or maybe we just think that another friend will get it (like toothpaste :)). 

 

This is why we will provide every camper with 2 trash bags at the entrance. You have to leave a 10€ deposit to receive the bags. The deposit will be put on your paycard. This is obligatory. 

 

3) When you bring your trash back to the garbage center, you will get the deposit back.

Before you leave the festival just bring your trash bags to the garbage center. Are your bags half empty? No problem. But please, put all your trash in the bags and don’t leave it lying around. You will get your deposit back as long as you return the trash bags. Don’t forget to bring your paycard with you – the deposit will be returned to your paycard. 

 

4) Why is this SO important?

Butik Festival is taking place in one of the most beautiful festival locations on earth. No joke. It is on the edge of Triglav national park. Festival and campsite areas are under protection. Firstly, we don’t want that at ANY point throughout the festival this magical place looks like a landfill (also one of the reasons why we have reusable plastic cups and cup deposits). This will also make your festival experience so much nicer. And secondly – we want to leave the area spotless after the festival. The local community of Tolmin is very strict when it comes to keeping nature clean (and they should be), so if we do not leave the festival area 100% clean, we might have problems with keeping this festival location. 

 

We hope that with this explanation, you can better understand why we introduced the trash deposit. Some of you already really appreciated this rule last year and we hope that with better understanding the ones who had a negative experience last year will be convinced it is actually something that makes the festival better (and even possible).

HOT SHOWERS AND FLUSH TOILETS

Besides cold showers and chemical toilets, the festival also offers a sanitary center with hot showers and flush toilets. Since there is literally no infrastructure on-site, we cannot provide this service for all festival-goers. This is why the sanitary center is available at extra cost.

IMPAIRED PEOPLE - WHEELCHAIR USERS

Wheelchair users or other physically handicapped people who rely on support can bring 1 escorting person to the festival area for free. Please notice that due to lack of space, Butik Festival does not provide a platform for handicapped people in front of the stage, also the beach stages are difficult to approach. Please note that an official medical certificate will be demanded upon your arrival.

Festival Info point offers basic info about the festival, such as information about running order and possible changes, and all other festival-related news.

KAYAK / SUP RENTAL

During daytime, you will be able to rent a kayak or SUP at the Soča Base Camp booth at the beach.

The price is 10€/hour.

LOCKERS

There is a limited amount of lockers available. All lockers have electricity plug inside.

The price for renting a locker for the whole festival is 20€. The key deposit is 10€ and you get it back once you return the key. 

 

You can rent a locker at the info point. Make sure to return the keys before the info point closes (it closes on Sunday at 10PM).

LOST & FOUND

You can deposit things that you have found at the info point. In case you lost something, you can also leave a note there.

PARKING

Parking is located next to the main entrance, a 5-minute walk from the camping and festival area.

 

Parking cost:

On site: 30€ (full festival)

 

For campervans there is special parking provided closer to the festival area – see “campervans”.

PAYCARD

You can only pay for food and drinks with a Butik paycard.

 

How things work in 6 steps:

Step 1. Upon arrival you will receive your paycard. It is mandatory.

Step 2. Load your paycard with minimum 20€.

Step 3. Our personnel is going to deduct 15€ from your paycard – 10€ for garbage deposit (see ‘garbage deposit’ for more info) and 5€ for paycard deposit (5€).

Step 4. Return your full garbage bags to the one of the garbage center during the festival time (see ‘garbage deposit’ for operating hours!).

Step 5. Upon returning of garbage bags to the garbage center your paycard will be loaded with 10€ .

Step 6. Upon returning your undamaged paycard to one of the paycard points (you can do this until Sunday at 11PM!), you will get 2€ returned in cash (paycard deposit). 3€ will be kept as service commission fee.

 

Important things / our advice: 

  • Take a photo of your paycard with visible serial number next to your ID. This will be the proof that this is your paycard. In case you lose it, you will be able to transfer the remaining funds to the new paycard.
  • Return your paycard no later than Sunday at 11PM. Then we have to shut down the paycard system.
  • Save the slips from the deposits on the paycard. In case anything goes wrong (demaged or lost card), having these really makes things easier.
  • Check the receipts to see how much funds you have available on the paycard and also to see how many deposits (cup deposit, garbage deposit, locker deposit) you currently have (reserved funds – rezervirana sredstva). If you are not sure what this means, please go to cashiers and they will explain everything to you.

 

PAYCARD Terms & Conditions

Paycard is the only payment method available for Butik Festival; exception is the official festival merch, festival market, which you are able to purchase with cash only. Paycard is mandatory for every visitor.

Loading Your Card for the first time 

You will receive your paycard together with your festival wristband.

The minimum amount of the initial credit load is 20,00€, which you need to load at the entrance to the festival at the Box Office point, in order to receive your festival wristband and paycard.

  • The minimum amount of each credit reload is 10,00€.
  • The maximum amount of the initial credit load is 100,00€.
  • The maximum amount of each credit reload is 100,00€.
  • You may load your paycard by paying in cash or credit card at any cashier.
  • You may add funds called “Credit” to your paycard at any time.
  • You will have access to your credit at any time.

Authorized Users

You are responsible for all authorised transactions initiated and fees incurred by use of your paycard. If you permit another person to have access to your PayCard, we will treat this as if you have authorized such use and you will be liable for all transactions and fees incurred by those persons. You are wholly responsible for the use of each paycard according to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Card deposit

Upon arrival you will be charged 5€ for Butik paycard deposit. You will get 2€ deposit back once you return your paycard undamaged to the one of Butik paycard points. 3€ will be kept as service fee.

Money return

If you did not spend all your money, and would like to get it back, simply go to cashier and you will receive the amount that is still on the paycard in cash. Paycard cashiers work until Sunday, 17th of July, 11PM. You will not be able to get back the remaining funds after this.

Card Replacement

If you need to replace your paycard due to non-funcionality/damage, please go to cashier to request a replacement paycard. Your paycard deposit will be deducted and remaining credit will be transferred to the new paycard.

Receipts

You get a receipt everytime you make a payment by using your paycard. You agree to retain, verify, and reconcile your transactions and receipts.

Confidentiality

We may disclose information to third parties about your paycard or the transactions you make:

(1) Where it is necessary for completing transactions;

(2) In order to verify the existence and condition of your PayCard for a third party, such as merchant;

(3) In order to comply with government agency, court order, or other legal reporting requirements;

(4) To our employees, auditors, affiliates, service providers, or attorneys as needed.

Our Liability for Failure to Complete Transactions

If we do not properly complete a transaction from your PayCard on time or in the correct amount according to our agreement with you, we will be liable for your losses or damages. However, there are some exceptions. We will not be liable, for instance:

(1) If through no fault of ours, you do not have enough funds available on your PayCard to complete the transaction;

(2) If a merchant refuses to accept your PayCard;

(3) If an electronic terminal where you are making a transaction does not operate properly, and you knew about the problem .

(5) If access to your PayCard has been blocked after you reported your PayCard lost or stolen;

(6) If there is a hold or your credit is a subject to legal process or other encumbrance restricting their use;

(7) If we have reason to believe the requested transaction is unauthorized;

(8) If circumstances beyond our control (such as force majure, or computer or communication failure) prevent the completion of the transaction, despite reasonable precautions that we have taken; or

(9) Any other exception stated in our Agreement with you.

Reusing Paycards

Reusing paycards from past festival years is not possible. Due to fiscalisation and tax law, it is legally not possible to transfer money from one year to the next year (since annual financial statements have to be done every year for taxes etc.)

Please pay attention to empty your paycard, so that there will be no loss for you.

PETS

Dogs and other animals are NOT permitted in the festival or campsite area! Anyone who will try to disobey this rule will be removed from a festival area with revoked access, without any further explanation. Please behave responsibly towards your animal companion and leave them at home (or in any other dog hotel or care, that will provide them the care they need).

PLASTIC CUP & BOTTLES & CANS DEPOSIT

Butik Festival is taking place in probably one of the most beautiful festival locations in the world (seriously). So we need to be extra careful when it comes to taking care of the environment. We want to keep the festival site as clean as possible at all times throughout the festival because we would hate to see this beautiful place covered with plastic cups, bottles, and cans. This is why we have plastic cups, bottles, and can deposit (short: cup deposit). 

 

How does it work?

 

When you buy a drink (in a plastic cup, plastic bottle, or a can), you get charged an extra 2€ for a cup deposit. You can then exchange the old cup for a new one when you order another drink or leave your cup at the cup deposit station (located next to the paycard loading station) and you will get your 2€ deposit back on your paycard. 

 

We are using reusable plastic cups.

RISK OF PARTICIPATION

Every visitor participates in the festival at his own risk. Besides, every visitor is obliged to take action for the guarantee of his own safety. The visitor is also responsible for his property. The promoter, Butik Ent. d.o.o., is not liable for any lost or damaged property whatsoever! The promoter is also not liable for violations of the Slovenian law, thievery, injuries, or damages by third parties that happen in course of the festival.

SECURITY

Please follow the instructions of the security personnel and avoid senseless annoying actions so everybody will feel comfortable. 

 

SWIMMING

Swimming in the river is allowed, but everyone is doing it at their own risk. Festival promoters ensure that there is a professional lifeguard available at the main festival beach area.

You can use taxi to go to the train station (Postaja – Most na Soči) or to villages nearby if you booked an accommodation that is not in the walking distance from the festival (Volče, Čiginj, Poljubinj, Prapetno, Dolje, Gabrje, Volarje, Most na Soči, Modrej,..).
There is only one driver and one vehicle, so at some times you might have to wait a little. Please plan accordingly.
Taxi has a taximeter, so the price depends on the length of your ride.

TENT RENT

Since many of you are flying to Butik and cannot bring a tent with you, we decided to offer an option to rent a tent this year. With this, we also want to avoid people buying tents just for the festival and throwing them away afterward.

How do things work?

We will set up tents before the festival starts in a nice space with plenty of shade, so even if you come late, the best camping spot will wait for you. After the festival, you don’t have to worry about folding the tent. We will take a 50€ deposit when you take over the tent (at the festival) which will be returned to you when you leave the festival and show that the tent is not damaged. The price (80€) includes:

  • a tent for 3 persons
  • 3 foam mats

If you want to be more comfortable, we advise you to bring a (self)inflating mat. Don’t forget to bring your own sleeping bag – it can get pretty chilly during the night.

This service is only available as a pre-order, renting will not be an option at the festival. Pre-order is available until the 3rd of July.

Since we had quite some problems with fake tickets last year, we now have an official ticket reselling platform. This is the only safe option to buy tickets

 

Are you looking for a ticket?
Check out if there are any tickets available. If you buy it from here, you will get a new ticket with a unique barcode and the seller’s ticket will be ‘burnt’. This means that you don’t have to worry that someone else got the same ticket as you. You will also be able to put your name on it.

WATER

At the festival and camp area, running clean water is provided free of charge. Please look for the sign that the water is drinkable before you refill your own bottles (water in Slovenia/Tolmin is very clean, however not all pipes are officially checked before the festival). 

 

Please note that you are not allowed to bring any bottles to the venue area! You need to buy a bottle of water at the bars and after that refill it at the water points as often as you want. Please also note, that once you leave the venue and want to enter the venue again, you will not be allowed to bring the bottles back to the venue area!

 

SHUTTLE SERVICE

We’ve partnered with a 3rd party shuttle service provider that offers shuttle services from nearby airports and other destinations to the festival area.
